DEAR ROMAN

Dear Roman,
You are unbelievably to cool for school.
You now know how to roll your eyes at us with disdain (yay for us) and make us feel ever so dumb.
You are still the picky eater with an enormous appetite.
Your energy outlasts both your papa and I as well as the grandparents.
The bond you have with your uncle Tony is the sweetest thing, especially since you don't get see him often. Plus, you are quite the nose picker (proof with pic above).
You are quite the fighter, and very stubborn. I wonder who you get that from?
Even with the toddler tantrums in full gear; I couldn't ask for a more fun and cuddly little monster.
Most exciting... my baby can talk! You are officially a little communicating human being. I almost can't take it. Hearing your little voice attempt so many new words makes my heart happy.
I couldn't love you more.

DEAR ROMAN

Dear Roman,
Ahh you are still teething terribly. Those little suckers are taking their precious time to come out. The drooling is insane (hence the picture). But I must admit you are quit the trooper. You are just becoming so much fun and so much more playful! Every time I open the refrigerator you go, "MMMmmm!!" I'll take that as a compliment. You are getting the idea of brushing your teeth, washing the dishes, and scrubbing yourself in the bath. Papa likes to have you up on the counter with him while washing the dishes. I've stolen this technique and accomplish washing the dishes twice as fast (rather than chasing your speedy self) and you have another excuse to play with water. If I say "Show me your belly," you lift up your shirt and slap that big baby belly that I love so much. Papa is always trying to tame your beastly curls, but you like your hair wild and free, just like your Mama does. Oh and when I put on some fresh new clothes for the day, you run to the nearest mirror and check yourself out. You start to smile and do turns. I don't blame you though, you are such a mini-stud. You keep us exhausted now that you are becoming the wild and curious boy that is destined to explore and leave no stone unturned. But, with that exhaustion comes the endless smiles, laughs, and happy tears you give your Mama and Papa. Love you Puppy!

DEAR ROMAN

Dear Roman,

Now you are truly becoming more of a boy and much less of a baby. You love to give kisses and clap for doing so. Sometimes I get a kiss without even asking and it's pretty much the best thing/feeling ever. You climbed your first steps with no hands on our way to grandma's house. Current favorite summer wear is a tank and swim trunks just like papa. Someone is also becoming quite the trickster. To get me to pick you up, you will pretend your finger is stuck in a cabinet drawer or the grocery store cart. It drives me crazy until I realize its one of your tricks and then I am just so proud of how clever you are. Oh and your pretend cry is almost convincing. It seems as if all your teeth have decided to come out at the same time, so teething has been no fun and is in full effect. You love to wrestle around with me when I  am trying to do a workout video and think its hilarious to see me jumping around all sweaty. Thanks. Right now Papa and I are working on the yard and you have just been the best helper ever. You love to transport soil from the bag to bucket over and over and over again! We have been able to spend so much more time together now that I am on summer vacation from school. I feel that it is bringing us closer and as you get older day by day I feel our bond getting stronger and stronger. Papa and I are super excited that we are able to take you Italy. I can't wait for our first family adventure. We love you always.

DEAR ROMAN

Dear Roman,
I feel as if you've grown dramatically these last two weeks. I see my baby turning into a little rascal who loves to explore and do things his way. You love to laugh, even when you are in trouble, you still crack a smile! You now come up and give me juicy kisses, just because. It melts my heart. You wave bye bye and blow kisses too. Currently, you love your red wagon rides with grandpa, watching cars drive by, playing in the water, and Yo Gabba Gabba gives you a smile instantly. You and Papa's bond is getting stronger and stronger by the day. The attempt and determination to run all over the place has gotten you some bumps and bruises. It's terrifying for us. The eating is ridiculous. I feel as if I am always in the kitchen making you something you little chunk! You love pasta (as if that's an option), apple sauce, mangoes, quesadillas, and veggie sticks. But best of all, you have become the best cuddle bug in the world! You always gently caress my arm and rub your lips on me when you are getting sleepy. ... and I can't wait for us to go to Italy! Yup. We are going and I am beyond excited! We love you Roman.

Love Always,
           Mommy

DEAR ROMAN

Dear Roman,
I can't believe you are now 14 months. I think you are more ready than I am about being shoved into toddlerhood to quickly. Time is such a tricky little thing. I feel like we celebrated you turning one such a long time ago, but that was only two months ago. Yet, I can remember you scooting instead of crawling, making your first cooing sounds, even your first days in the hospital like it was yesterday. Now you are trying your hardest to sprint everywhere. You are the best 14 month old dancer I have ever seen! Even if you hear a song playing in the background of a commercial you are putting your finger together, bobbing your head, and thrusting those hips. I love it. You have mastered the art of screaming, especially in public places, but always with a smile. You love waving bye-bye to everyone. The amount of eating you accomplish in a single day astounds me every time!  Daddy officially melted when you went up to him and said DaDa for the first time this week. Every hour that your papa and I are together, we have that moment where we look at you and are just amazed at how beautiful you are and how much you have grown and changed our lives for the better. Thank you for making us feel so lucky.
                                                                                      Love Always,
                                                                                                 Mommy
